PORTLAND, Maine - The Portland International Jetport today announced that American Airlines will start non-stop service to New York City - LaGuardia starting June 5, 2024. The new service will operate twice daily and will be American Airlines sixth non-stop destination.
“We are excited to announce that American Airlines will be starting non-stop service to New York’s LaGuardia Airport starting next June,” said Paul Bradbury, Airport Director. “This new service now means that all three of the global alliances now service New York, our largest market. We know this new service will be a welcome addition to many of our American Airlines frequent travelers and will provide everyone with two additional daily opportunities to get to New York” he continued.
“American is excited to add new nonstop service from Portland International Jetport (PWM) to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York City,” said Joe Sottile, American Airlines Director of Domestic Network Planning. “With service to six destinations across the U.S. from PWM next summer, American is thrilled to offer more access for travelers to see all that Portland has to offer while connecting local residents with convenient access to our comprehensive global network.”
