FIFTH
ANNUAL PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL JETPORT
AERONAUTICAL EXPOSITION AVIATION PAST & PRESENT AIRCRAFT STATIC DISPLAY
The
public is welcome, the admission is free, come out and
help Portland International Jetport celebrate it’s
fifth annual “Aviation Past & Present Aircraft
Static Display”. The Aeronautical Exposition is
tentatively being held during the month of June 2009. The Jetport has cancelled the September date due to the construction of the five story garage opposite the terminal.
The MS "Plane Pull" is still scheduled for September, 2008 and we will advise you when all plan are completed. The Plane Pull
consists of teams of twenty people (men and women 18
years or older) pulling a 145,000 pound 727. Can you
imagine pulling over 72 tons ... Team sponsorship is
$1,000 per team (breaks down to $50 per person) and
all of the money goes to the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society, Maine Chapter.
The
fastest team pull wins a trophy (First, Second and Third)
but there is also a trophy for best spirit etc... We
encourage local business, organizations, firemen, policemen,
college teams etc., etc., etc.,to sign up and help the
MS Society... Imagine ... on Sunday telling all of your
friends that you pulled a 145,000 pound airplane. In
2006, the first Plane Pull, we had twenty teams compete
in trying to accomplish the goal of pulling the aircraft.
Accounting against sales, back office against front
office, neighborhood against neighborhood etc. etc.
great team building competition with a reward of knowing
you are helping a great cause.
