Air Travel Tips
Relax. You're in Good Hands at PWM.
Traveling can be stressful. Allowing plenty of time will start your trip off right. Parking, checking bags, processing through security all get busier during peak travel periods. Allowing plenty of time before your flight will ensure a smooth start to your trip.
We recommend arriving to the airline's ticket counter 90 minutes prior
to the scheduled departure.

While we think that Portland, Maine is a great year-round place to visit, our passenger volumes are definitely greater in the summer and during peak holiday periods (and our busiest time of the day is between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.). Don't start your trip off the wrong way by underestimating the time necessary to check your bags, process through security, and get to your gate to board the plane. We always recommend 90 minutes to allow plenty of time to get to your departure gate stress free.
